Instructor of Psychology
(Raleigh County Campus)
Summary of Responsibilities:
Primary duties for the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a full range of psychology courses for the Raleigh County Campus of New River Community and Technical College. This position is for the Raleigh County Campus but may involve travel to other campuses for day, evening and/or weekend classes. Experience in developing online courses is preferred. Duties include student advising, recruitment, and retention activities; professional development; participation in committee activities; experience in instruction, curriculum design and assessment; and other duties assigned by the campus dean.
Position may require travel between campuses.
Education:
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Psychology; Doctorate degree preferred.
Experience:
Candidates with experience utilizing technology in the classroom and online teaching preferred. The successful candidate must have two or more years of demonstrated experience in teaching college courses.
Reports to: Campus Dean
Classification/Compensation: $35,000 annually.
