Instructor of Medical Assisting
(Mercer County Campus - Princeton, WV)
Summary of Responsibilities:
This is a 9-month teaching position within the Division of Science and Allied Health. Additional summer employment is usually available. Teaching areas include human anatomy, pharmacology, and allied health courses. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, Saturday, and off-campus experiences. Teaching load is 15 semester hours per semester. In addition to teaching, responsibilities may vary by position but usually include serving on assigned committees, advising and registering students, working with student clubs and organizations, community service, and professional scholarly activities.
Education:
• A current unencumbered RN License is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Experience:
• Two years teaching experience preferred.
• College teaching experience preferred.
• Three years medical assisting experience highly desirable.
• Commitment to student learning and success, professional development, and service to the college and the community preferred.
• Applicants with documented research and publication interest and community college teaching experience may be given preference.
