Job Description
Full-time position, with College-wide responsibilities for the instructional and administrative information technology systems. NICC (www.nicc.edu) is a dynamic, growing community college with 5,200 students and 650 full-and part-time regular staff and faculty. The College has campuses located in Calmar and Peosta and centers in Cresco, Dubuque, New Hampton, Oelwein, and Waukon. The Director of CIS will manage and supervise CIS staff in Calmar, Dubuque, and Peosta; provide leadership for the implementation of the College’s new master technology plan; and collaborate with staff in the Distance Learning office and in the NICC libraries to meet the technology needs of students, faculty and staff. The Director will also serve as NICC’s liaison with the CAST and ACCES consortia.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Proven hands-on experience with management in an environment with a variety of computer systems and networks. A working understanding of instructional and administrative software required, with Campus Cruiser and Datatel experience preferred. Ability to guide, understand, and respond to the technology needs of multiple constituencies. Experience in planning and budgeting. Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field preferred.
